Dr. Kory Williams joins Hurd Regional Medical Center
- First physician hired for new clinic/hospital campus -
CENTRAL TEXAS - Scott & White Healthcare has hired the first of many specialists that will staff the Wayne and Eileen Hurd Regional Medical Center. Kory Don Williams, DPM, will practice from offices in Kingsland and Leander until the Scott & White Specialty Care Clinic at Hurd Regional Medical Center opens next spring.
Dr. Williams is a podiatrist who has been affiliated with specialty clinics and hospitals in Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio, where he was on staff at Cleveland Clinic. Following undergraduate studies in Texas and Illinois, Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University Medicine and Science Institute.
"We are genuinely pleased that Kory has elected to join us as we continue to build the provider team that will support our new regional medical center," said Randall Grimshaw, MD, chief medical officer of Scott & White Hill Country region. "He has become part of the solid foundation we have in place to deliver high-quality patient care to our friends and neighbors here in the Hill Country."
Once fully operational, the Hurd Regional Medical Center campus will be staffed by over 40 health care specialists. In addition to Dr. Williams, Scott & White has a well-established group of primary care physicians. The former Hoerster Clinic physicians joined Scott & White in 2008 and practice in locations throughout the Hill Country.
Dr. Williams has office hours at Scott & White Clinic - Kingsland on Tuesdays and Thursdays and in Leander on Mondays. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 325-388-9400 (Kingsland) or 512-509-0200 (Leander/Round Rock).
