Scott & White Welcomes Additional Physicians in Hill Country

- Drs. Brian Ransdell, Rodney Lange join five recent additions already practicing in Hill Country region -

CENTRAL TEXAS – Scott & White Healthcare welcomes additional specialty care physicians to staff the Scott & White Specialty Clinic - Marble Falls opening in June. This month, joining the team are Brian L. Ransdell, MD, dermatologist and Rodney Lange, MD, pain management (anesthesiologist). In addition to these new physicians, Scott & White already has an established group of primary care physicians serving the area. The former Hoerster Clinic physicians joined Scott & White in 2008 and practice in locations throughout the Hill Country. The multispecialty clinic building, opening in June 2013, is the first medical facility on the Wayne & Eileen Hurd Medical Center campus, with the hospital projected to be in service by the end of 2014.

Ransdell is fluent in Spanish, board-certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and joins Scott & White from the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in The Woodlands/Houston,TX. He completed residency training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He specializes in general dermatology with an emphasis on skin cancer, treating patients of all ages with a variety of medical, surgical, and cosmetic concerns.

Lange, board-certified in family practice and specializing in pain management, joins Scott & White from Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center in Walsenburg, CO. He obtained his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine.

Hospital Update

Initially opening with 46 hospital beds, the Wayne & Eileen Hurd Regional Medical Center will be structured to allow for expansion in size and services to meet the growing needs of the Hill Country residents. The facility is projected to be in service by the end of 2014.
