6:30PM - 8PMCrohn's and Colitis Central Texas Area Support Group - Scott & White Memorial Hospital - Temple, Texas A&M University Medical Education Building, Room 117, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508The Crohn's and Colitis Support Group is an opportunity for patients and family members to connect with others living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These informal gatherings provide the opportunity for patients and their loved ones to share stories, seek emotional support, find answers to their questions and connect with a community that shares their challenges.

Co-facilitated by Kristin Collins, RN, BSN, and Julia B. Turner, RN, participants get to interact directly with Baylor Scott & White Health IBD Clinicians who work with IBD patients on a daily basis. Trained by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the facilitators help attendees find answers to their questions and provide support ideas on how to manage IBD with work, school, social life and family life.

Patients, family members or friends of individuals who currently or in the past have had to deal with Crohn's or Colitis are welcome to attend, ages 18+.

This group is open to adjustable gastric band, gastric bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy patients.

12PM - 1PMMulti-Organ Transplant Support Group - Scott & White Clinic - Temple, Brindley Circles Entrance, Conference Room 401C, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508Scott & White Multi-Organ Transplant Support Group is a voluntary, open group for those in the transplant community or interested in transplantation to meet with others who may share experience, gather support and insight and have fun.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

These informal gatherings provide the opportunity for patients and their loved ones to share stories, seek emotional support, find answers to their questions and connect with a community that shares their challenges.

Co-facilitated by Kristin Collins, RN, BSN, and Julia B. Turner, RN, participants get to interact directly with Baylor Scott & White Health IBD Clinicians who work with IBD patients on a daily basis. Trained by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the facilitators help attendees find answers to their questions and provide support ideas on how to manage IBD with work, school, social life and family life.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

These informal gatherings provide the opportunity for patients and their loved ones to share stories, seek emotional support, find answers to their questions and connect with a community that shares their challenges.

Co-facilitated by Kristin Collins, RN, BSN, and Julia B. Turner, RN, participants get to interact directly with Baylor Scott & White Health IBD Clinicians who work with IBD patients on a daily basis. Trained by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the facilitators help attendees find answers to their questions and provide support ideas on how to manage IBD with work, school, social life and family life.

6:30PM - 8PMCrohn's and Colitis Central Texas Area Support Group - Scott & White Memorial Hospital - Temple, Texas A&M University Medical Education Building, Room 117, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508The Crohn's and Colitis Support Group is an opportunity for patients and family members to connect with others living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These informal gatherings provide the opportunity for patients and their loved ones to share stories, seek emotional support, find answers to their questions and connect with a community that shares their challenges.

Co-facilitated by Kristin Collins, RN, BSN, and Julia B. Turner, RN, participants get to interact directly with Baylor Scott & White Health IBD Clinicians who work with IBD patients on a daily basis. Trained by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the facilitators help attendees find answers to their questions and provide support ideas on how to manage IBD with work, school, social life and family life.

Patients, family members or friends of individuals who currently or in the past have had to deal with Crohn's or Colitis are welcome to attend, ages 18+.

12PM - 1PMMulti-Organ Transplant Support Group - Scott & White Clinic - Temple, Brindley Circles Entrance, Conference Room 401C, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508Scott & White Multi-Organ Transplant Support Group is a voluntary, open group for those in the transplant community or interested in transplantation to meet with others who may share experience, gather support and insight and have fun.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

Not only will you gain health, energy and confidence, but also the assurance that you have a strong and dependable support group available to help you modify and maintain your healthy new lifestyle.

The purpose of the group is to share experiences and assist each other in the preoperative and postoperative process of weight loss and maintenance. All participants are welcome to any of the groups to gain information and support. The support group meetings are normally facilitated by either Rosemary Ramsey, LCSW. The group is open to adjustable gastric band, gastric bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy patients.

If you are ready for a new, healthier and satisfying lifestyle, don¿t let another day go by without getting the information and support you need to make sustainable changes. The dedicated professionals at Scott & White are here to help you reach your goals for good health and well being.

Please do not bring young children to the groups (under the age of 16 years). Participants often discuss adult themes which are inappropriate for children to hear. Also, young children are disruptive to the group. This is time for adults only.
