Online Childbirth Education
This online childbirth class is an alternative for those who cannot attend a class in person due to bed rest, scheduling conflicts or time constraints. This interactive, web-based program includes animated illustrations, videos and interactive games. The class is perfect to refresh parents that have already experienced childbirth. This course will be accessible from the time you receive your access code. This course is offered at no cost.
This one-session introduction to breastfeeding focuses on techniques for initiating nursing during the early weeks with your newborn and maintaining a successful breastfeeding experience. Discussions include: benefits for both mom and baby, latching, positioning, returning to the workplace. Information on breast pumps and other available lactation services are also included. Dads or other primary support persons are strongly encouraged to attend.
Online Breastfeeding Education
Our online breastfeeding class provides busy parents with information on breastfeeding at your own pace in the comfort of your home. This is an interactive web-based program that includes animated illustrations and videos. This course will provide parents with the information and skills to successfully breastfeed. Topics include benefits of breastfeeding, what to expect as a new breastfeeding mom, pumping techniques and proper latch. This course will be accessible from the time you receive your access code. This course is offered at no cost.
Parents and siblings are invited to come tour the hospital facility in preparation for the big day. We will review the registration process, take a tour and answer any questions that might help ease any anxiety and make the process more enjoyable!
Baby Care Class
Offered to parents in their last trimester. Includes topics such as diapering and bathing baby, sleep and crying patterns, normal newborn characteristics and hospital routines. Both parents are encouraged to attend.
A prenatal workshop just for new dads. This "for men only" course is designed to meet the changing needs of today’s dads. Dads receive the education, tools and practical hands-on experience that encourage confidence in their abilities and foster trust between them and their partner.
Are you trying to prepare your young child for the birth of a sibling? This fun and interactive class with provide you with the guidance and information you need to help prepare your child with this exciting time. Activities are focused on what a newborn looks and acts like, where mommy will be during delivery, and what it will be like with a new baby at home. Parenting tips to help your child welcome the new baby into the family are also shared.
Infant CPR Class
This course arms you with the skills to perform infant CPR and to combat infant choking.
