The Scott & White Research Grants Program (RGP) supports the Mission and Vision of Scott & White Healthcare by enhancing the academic environment with innovative health-related research. Specifically, the program:

• Awards research funds via a peer review process to investigators who demonstrate the potential to develop extramurally funded research programs and to publish scientific data
• Gives priority to innovative projects that have the potential to produce novel discoveries
• Encourages Interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration
• Supports research training experiences for medical students, residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals

Amount	up to $5,000	up to $50,000	up to $80,000
Eligibility	TAMHSC_COM medical students, Scott & White residents, fellows and healthcare professional trainees S&W medical Staff and faculty members with limited research experience. Persons in research fellowship positions such as post doctoral fellows	Scott & White staff and fellows Temple/Round Rock-based Texas A&M faculty when in collaboration with a Scott & White staff member or trainee Limit one active RGP award per PI
Award Cycles in 2010	Open submission process (i.e., no specific deadlines) with multiple awards available .	Three cycles in FY 2010 with multiple awards available Application Deadlines: September 14, 2010, January 14, 2010, and May 14, 2010	Number of awards in FY2010 TBD, one award available during the first cycle. Application Deadline: September 14, 2009, TBD .
Scope	The Scott & White Research Grants Program supports research in all health care related disciplines.
Terms	Projects must be completed within two years from time of funding.	Data collection must be completed within two years from time of funding. An additional 6 months can be requested for analysis and manuscript development.
