Fellowship in Interventional Radiology

The Department of Radiology at the Scott & White Clinic offers a one-year, fully ACGME accredited Interventional Radiology Fellowship. The program provides for exposure to the complete spectrum of Interventional Radiology. Our faculty consists of five full-time Board Certified Interventional Radiologists and two full-time Nurse Practitioners. More than 7,000 procedures are performed in the division annually and fellows are exposed to a busy, comprehensive, outpatient clinic. Responsibilities of the division also include interpretation of MRA, CTA and ultrasound imaging studies, as well as running a complete, fully accredited non-invasive vascular testing lab.
The collaborative nature of the multispecialty system at Scott & White allows for an excellent working relationship with specialists from other departments. The institution's commitment to the comprehensive care of the patient assures that the fellow will obtain a complete exposure to services offered by Interventional Radiologists. The IR division is involved in a number of clinical trails and fellows are afforded the opportunity to participate in research at the local and national levels. The working environment is cordial and fun and a full crew of nurses and technologists complement the capabilities of the staff.
The fellow will rotate on a daily basis through a variety of services including vascular intervention, vascular imaging, nonvascular intervention and Interventional Radiology outpatient clinic. Moonlighting opportunities are available. A generous meeting stipend is offered. In addition, a unique educational experience is offered through consultation services provided to the division by visiting, guest professors distinguished in the field of Interventional Radiology.
