Reference Laboratory

The Scott & White Pathology Department has been operating its outreach services, the Reference Laboratory, since 1978. The Scott & White institutional mission statement best describes the philosophy of practice of the Reference Laboratory:

The mission of Scott & White is to provide personalized, comprehensive, high quality health care enhanced by medical education and research.

Each specimen is handled as a patient consultation. The core laboratory serves the Scott & White tertiary care teaching hospital approved for 501 licensed beds; a large multidisciplinary group practice (500+ physicians) that also has residency programs in almost all disciplines, as well as selected fellowships.

Locations

The main core laboratory for the Scott & White system resides in Temple. However, most of our Regional Clinics have laboratories that support clinical practice and also provide patient specimen collection and blood drawing services. Laboratory addresses and phone numbers are provided for reference.
