Be The Match Registry holds event
- Volunteers wanted to save a life -
Temple, Texas – The Scott & White Marrow Donor Program will have a drive for the Be The Match Registry on Saturday, July 11 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The drive will be at Michaels - The Arts and Craft Store, 3550 General Bruce Drive, Suite 120, Temple, TX (next to Target).
The Be The Match Registry, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, is an international registry of volunteers who would be willing to consider donating blood stem cells or marrow to patients in need of a transplant. To join the registry, a swab is taken of the inside of the cheek and the volunteer’s tissue type is determined. Those interested in joining the registry must be between the ages of 18 and 60 and in good general health.
