Scott & White executive elected to key policy board
-Langston to represent Central Texas at national level-
TEMPLE, Texas – Kimberly Langston, BSN, and administrator of the Continuing Care Hospital and associate executive director of Scott & White’s post-acute services has been elected to the board of directors of the Acute Long Term Hospital Association (ALTHA).
“We are pleased to have executives of this caliber join the Board of Directors,” said Bill Walters, CEO of the Washington, D.C.– based trade association. “The voice of independent and non-profit hospitals will definitely be heard.”
As an at-large director, Langston brings to the board experience and perspectives from both the long-term acute care viewpoint as well as all other post-acute patient settings. She will help reinforce ALTHA’s goal to promote and support the critical role of such hospitals in the full continuum of patient care.
“I look forward to representing Scott & White and our patients at the national level,” said Langston. “This honor puts us and Temple on the map as a major participant in issues affecting patients and staff of acute care hospitals like ours.”
Langston is a key member of the Scott & White executive team, where she has worked since 2004. She received her BSN from Texas Woman’s University and is a member of the Texas Hospital Association and co-chair of the ALTHA Board of Independent Hospitals.
