Scott & White Hospice
The people with Scott & White Hospice were blessed with a special kind of training, a special desire or maybe a special feeling that makes the program work. One of the biggest blessings was being able to have my wife here at home.

Scott & White Hospice is a non-profit, hospital hospice program. It is part of the nationally recognized Scott & White healthcare organization. Scott & White Hospice is an experienced hospice which provides services throughout beautiful Central Texas. The service area encompasses a nine county area surrounding Temple, Texas.
Hospice is special care designed for a person whose illness cannot be cured. Hospice is a life affirming approach to meeting the special needs of terminally ill people, their families and their caregivers.
A specially trained staff provides compassionate, quality care to adults, children and infants facing the advancing stages of any life-threatening illness. Also, Scott & White Hospice services includes spiritual and emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
The goal is not to lengthen or shorten the natural course of life but to make the most of the life that lies ahead.
Hospice care, typically provided in the person's home or in a home-like setting, focuses on both the patient and family:
- To control pain and other uncomfortable symptoms
- To treat the physical, emotional and spiritual needs
Scott & White Hospice is a Texas Licensed Hospice, Medicare-Certified, Medicaid-Certified, a Non-profit Organization 501(c)(3) and is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of HealthCare Organizations (JCAHO).
