Miracle Kids
Destiny and Daycee

Stormy and Marcus Garcia are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Destiny and Daycee. Both girls were born prematurely and both were long-term patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Scott & White. Ventilators, tube feedings, respirators, and surgeries were the hallmarks of infancy in the Garcia household. Fear might have overwhelmed the family, but a caring and attentive team helped the young parents stay calm. "The NICU staff always kept us informed. No matter how many times we called, the staff was always kind and helpful."
Marcus Garcia is a member of the maintenance team at McLane Company. For more than 20 years, McLane employees have supported the Children's Miracle Network, contributing more than $2 million to help children like the Garcia girls. The neonatal intensive care nursery at Scott & White is now permanently named The McLane Company Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, in grateful appreciation for the support of McLane Company employees over the last two decades.
Stormy Garcia is a grateful mother. "We have Scott & White nearby to care for our children, and we are a part of the McLane family. We are truly blessed."
