Donor Day Off Program

We've Lowered the Count!

To raise our supplies, we've lowered the count. Giving blood just became even more rewarding for Scott & White employees.

We know you give blood to save lives, and we want to reward you for that. Donating blood is the right thing to do! That is why we are now giving you a Donor Day Off (DDO) after just four donations.

It's as simple as 1-2-3-4!

1. Starting in 2009, donate whole blood four times at the Scott & White Blood Center or on the bloodmobile
2. Save your Donor Cards at the bottom of the "Important Donor Information Sheet"
3. Give your four Donor Cards to your supervisor
4. Schedule a Donor Day Off!

We've Increased the Benefits!

Can't give blood? Just recruit eight new or lapsed donors, and we'll give you a day off, too!

It's as simple as 1-2-3-4!

1. Starting in 2009, recruit eight new or lapsed donors at the Scott & White Blood Center or on the bloodmobile
2. Remind your recruited donors to let our staff know at the time of their donation you recruited them to give, and we'll keep track of your recruited donations on a DDO sheet
3. Once you've recruited eight donors, give your DOO sheet to your supervisor
4. Schedule a Donor Day Off!

Rules and Regulations

Rules to donate:

• The program is available to all Scott & White employees, including PRN staff
• Scott & White employees may donate on company time with supervisor permission
• Deferrals do not count as donations

Rules to recruit donors:

• A "recruited donor" is defined as anyone who has never donated with Scott & White or who has not registered to donate with us in the past six months
• The eight "recruited donors" must all be different donors
• Deferalls do not count as donations

Additional information:

• All donations must be for whole blood
• Only one DDO will be allowed per calendar year
• Donor and recruitment programs cannot be combine (You may either particiapte by donating blood four times or recruiting eight donors to give to receive one DOO per year)

Reminder: You may donate blood every 56 days
