Lori Whisler
Neuropsychometrician
Dr. Daniel Cruz-Laureano joined the Division of Neuropsychology at Scott & White in 2008. Dr. Cruz obtained his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. His neuropsychology training started in the San Juan City Hospital in Puerto Rico in their Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. He completed a pre-doctoral internship at the New York University Medical Center Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Dr. Cruz completed his postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology at the Indiana Neuroscience Institute at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
His clinical interests include adults and the geriatric population, with a specific focus on dementia and epilepsy. Among his research interests are cognitive functioning in epilepsy, particularly in the elderly, localization paradigms in Hispanics patients and subjective and objective memory functioning.
Dr. Jacqueline Phillips-Sabol is the Director of the Division of Neuropsychology. She is also an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Psychiatry with the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Dr. Phillips-Sabol is a board certified Neuropsychologist. She completed her doctoral degree at Gannon University in Erie, PA. She then completed internship training in the neuropsychology tract at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, and a fellowship in Neuropsychology in the Neurology Department at the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical Center. Dr. Phillips-Sabol has extensive training in several areas, including movement disorders, epilepsy, dementias and capacity evaluations, as well as other areas of general neuropsychology. Her research interests are in the areas of cognitive issues related to movement disorders, deep brain stimulation surgery and epilepsy. Read more »
Lori Whisler is the Lead Neuropsychometrician in the Division of Neuropsychology within the Department of Neurosurgery.
Miss Whisler graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She completed a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University as well. She is a member of the National Association of Psychometrists. Before joining Scott & White, Miss Whisler worked for eight years as a neuropsychometrician in the Neuroscience Department at Carle Clinic in Urbana, IL.
