Arden Aylor, M.D. - Neurology

Dr. Arden Aylor is the Director of Geriatric Medicine in the Departments of Family Medicine and Neurology. He is also an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine with the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Aylor received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He then received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX, followed by his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominca. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Scott & White and the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He then completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at the Waco Faculty Development Center and a Geriatric Fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo, TX.



Jeffrey W. Clark, M.D.

Dr. Jeffrey Clark has been a member of the Scott & White senior staff in the Department of Neurology since 1994. He is also an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Neurology.

Dr. Clark received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, worked on a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas in Denton, and earned his D.O. degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Neurology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, where he also served as Chief Neurology Resident. His medical education training includes the Harvard-Macy Program for Educators in the Health Professions; and a Faculty Development Fellowship in Clinical Teaching from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Darrell Crisp, M.D.

Dr. Darrell Crisp is Director of the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Scott & White in Temple. He is also an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Crisp is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Neurology with special competency in child neurology.

Dr. Crisp received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. Following his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Medical Center in San Antonio, he spent three years as a Pediatric Neurology Fellow at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT. Elmyra Encarnacion, M.D.

Dr. Elmyra Encarnacion is the Director of the Plummer Movement Disorders Center at Scott & White in Temple. She is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Encarnacion received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She received her medical degree from St. George's University Medical School, Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Encarnacion completed an internal medicine internship at Columbia University Medical School/St Luke's Hospital in New York, NY. She completed her neurology residency at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL, where she received an award in teaching. Dr. Encarnacion has been awarded Movement Disorder Fellowships from the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, and University of South Florida/Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL.

Her patient care emphasis is Parkinson's disease, tremor and other movement disorders. Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology and Movement Disorders Society. Read more »

Joohi Jiminez-Shahed, M.D.

Dr. Joohi Jimenez-Shahed joined the Scott & White Neurology faculty in August, 2008, at Scott & White Healthcare - Round Rock. She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. She specializes in the care of patients with Movement Disorders.

Dr. Jimenez-Shahed received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She completed her Neurology residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, and then a Movement Disorders fellowship at the Parkinson's Disease Center and Movement Disorders Clinic of Baylor College of Medicine.

She then joined the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine, where her clinical and research interests included management of both adults and children with movement disorders, membership in the Parkinson Study Group and Huntington Study Group, serving as Principal Investigator for both industry and investigator-sponsored clinical trials in Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, dystonia, and Tourette syndrome, and authorship of several papers and book chapters.

At Scott & White, Dr. Jimenez-Shahed is a member of the Plummer Movement Disorders Center, which is designated as a National Parkinson Foundation Care Center. She heads the Deep Brain Stimulator program and is developing a comprehensive Movement Disorders clinical research program to complement the clinical, education and outreach programs already in existence. Her clinical care interests are in all aspects of adult and pediatric movement disorders, with special focus on management with deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin injections.



Daniel L. Keyser, M.D.

Dr. Daniel Keyser has been a member of the Scott & White Department of Neurology since 1993. He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Keyser is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, Dr. Keyser completed specialty training in neurology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He received additional training in movement disorders and specializes in general neurology. Read more »



Batool Kirmani, M.D.

Dr. Batool Kirmani is the Director of the Epilepsy Center in the Department of Neurology at Scott & White. She is also Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Kirmani received her medical degree from the University of Punjab. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurogenetics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD, and her internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Pittsfield, MA. Following a residency in Adult Neurosurgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, Dr. Kirmani was awarded a Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

Her professional activities include memberships in the American Epilepsy Society and the American Academy of Neurology. Her patient care emphasis is on epilepsy, neurogenetics, intensive seizure monitoring, surgical management of epilepsy and industry sponsored pharmaceutical clinical trials for intractable epilepsy patients. Dr. Jeremiah Lanford is a board certified neurologist at Scott & White Healthcare - Round Rock.

Dr. Lanford graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX, where he also completed his internship. He was Chief Resident in Neurology at the University of Virginia Medical School, Charlottesville, VA, and completed a Neurophysiology/EMG Fellowship at this institution as well. Dr. Richard Lenehan is the Chairman of the Department of Neurology; Director of the Division of Adult Neurology and is the Chief of the Section of Adult Neurology at Scott & White Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. His is board certified in Internal Medicine, Neurology and Psychiatry.

Dr. Lenehan received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Scott & White, and his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. He has also trained in Neurology at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. Dr. Lenehan's patient care emphasis is on neuroscience curriculum, cerebrovascular disease, dementia and headaches. Dr. Terry Wilkinson is Chief of the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory in the Department of Neurology at Scott & White. He is also an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Wilkinson is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Wilkinson received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, where he was valedictorian of his medical school class. He interned in Internal Medicine at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, IA. He then completed a neurology residency at the same university, as well as a neurology fellowship.
