Walter Lesley, M.D.

Dr. Walter Lesley is the Director of the Division of Neuroradiology and Chief of the Section of Neurointerventional Surgery in the Department of Radiology at Scott & White. Dr. Lesley also is an Associate Professor Radiology and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, Dr. Lesley earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY. He then completed a residency in diagnostic radiology from Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. Following his residency, Dr. Lesley completed neuroradiology and neurointerventional radiology fellowships at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and a neurointerventional radiology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Dr. Lesley's areas of specialty include cerebral aneurysm, cerebral and spinal vascular malformation, cerebrovascular occlusive disease - including stroke, vertebral and sacral insufficiency fracture, cerebral and spinal catheter angiography, spine pain management, management of nose bleeding (epistaxis) and spinal, intracranial and head and neck tumor embolization. Rajesh Rangaswamy, M.D.

Dr. Rajesh Rangaswamy joined the Section of Neurointerventional Surgery in 2008. He is also an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Rangaswamy received his medical degree from Coimbatore Medical College in Tamil Nadu India and completed an internship at Coimbatore Medical College. He then completed special training in diagnostic radiology from the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute in Ahmedabad, India; diagnostic neuroradiology at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL; and interventional radiology at the University of Florida & Shands, Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Rangaswamy's areas of interest include diagnostic neuroradiology, neuroendovascular intervention for cerebral aneurysm, cerebral and spinal vascular malformation, stroke, carotid and cerebrovascular stenosis and cerebral and spinal catheter angiography. He also specializes in image guided spine intervention for vertebral insufficiency fracture, disc herniation and pain management. Read more »
