Tobacco.org is a free resource center focusing on tobacco and smoking issues. It features tobacco news, information, assistance for smokers trying to quit, alerts on tobacco control issues and open consideration of all aspects of the spectrum of issues concerning tobacco, nicotine, cigarettes and cigars.

The National Cancer Institute's Quitting Smoking: Why To Quit and How To Get Help Web site answers many of the questions people often have about smoking and smoking cessation.

BREATHE® – VitalCare’s Lifestyle Management Tools

On-line approach to cessation through the Scott & White Health Plan’s Lifestyle Management Web site at www.swhp.org.

The BREATHE program starts with 15 minute questionnaire to assess smoking patterns and readiness to change. The survey generates a personal plan to decrease your dependency, manage withdrawal and deal with cravings. Three follow-up newsletters will be delivered on-line at 2 days, 10 days and 21 days after your quit date.

Support from others is available 24/7. It contains helpful information such as a Quitting Guide and Tobacco News. This Web site can help you find programs near you. Even better, you can add buddies to use as shoulders to lean on. Information about the various nicotine replacement therapies, along with a comparison chart is also available. Of course, you should talk with your physician before beginning nicotine replacement therapy.
