Tobacco Cessation Programs
According to the CDC, combining counseling with nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) or smoking cessation medications significantly increases the chances of long-term success.
Therefore, in addition to the toll free numbers and on-line resources, Enuff of the Puff will be offering additional support through group counseling classes.
- Scott & White staff and/or their dependents can register for the smoking cessation program by completing the registration form
and submitting to Scott & White Wellness or registering through Scott & White University (SWU) at 254-724-5555 or SWUNIVERSITY@swmail.sw.org - Classes will be offered as needed at Scott & White locations in Temple, Killeen, Waco, Round Rock and College Station and each class will be scheduled once 15 participants have enrolled. Class times include the lunch hour and evenings.
- Instructors – Alliance Work Partners (our Employee Assistance Program) will provide instruction and will offer a 12-week class and 7-week class.
12-week session (now enrolling)
- Class size = 20
- Cost for community member: $125 per person
- Class is held once a week during the lunch hour (1 to 1.5 hours)
7-week session (now enrolling for class start date of April 15, 6-8 p.m.)
- American Lung Association’s “Freedom from Smoking”
- Students enrolled must attend session 1 and every weekly session.
- Class size = 15
- Cost for community member: $125
- Class is held once a week in the evening (2 hours)
New classes will continue to be formed as needed.
Community members can attend a class but will need to pay the enrollment fee ($125).
