Diabetes Education Center

Recognizing that diabetes is an on-going but manageable disease, our Scott & White Diabetes Education Center was one of the first nationally certified diabetes education programs in Texas and today provides a variety of programs and services for individuals diabetes and their families.

The center is located in the Center for Diagnostic Medicine Building at the corner of 31st Street and Avenue R. For individuals with type 2 diabetes and their families, classes are offered:

• Four days a week
• An option of morning, afternoon or evening times
• A total of four classes over a six month period

In addition, a diabetes support group meets in the same location on the last Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
