Department of Medicine

Scott & White's Department of Medicine continues to expand its services throughout Central Texas and continue to attract and develop unique physicians and services.

The Department is guided by one concept shared by all its members: to do the right thing for the right reason at the right time.

We feel strongly that our job is to focus on patient care, educate patients and caregivers and to develop new knowledge through research.

We are committed to the multi-specialty group practice model since it allows us to focus our resources on the needs of the patient and to do so quickly and efficiently.

  • Pulmonary-Critical Care is growing with Pulmonary Rehabilitation soon to be added to the roster of services and the Sleep Center expansion. The Division offers state-of-the-art sleep studies that are second to none in North America and a Critical Care service with an outstanding track record in morbidity and mortality statistics.

  • Gastroenterology has developed techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological and non-gastroenterological diseases. The division also boasts an Esophageal Diseases Clinic and Laboratory and a Hepatology Clinic that specializes in patients with Hepatitis C. Specialties include non-invasive M2A capsule videography of the small bowel and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
