About our Cause

Be The Match logo

The beneficiary of this event are people all over the world that are in a very special race of their own - a race against cancer and other diseases that could be cured by a marrow transplant.

All proceeds of the Miracle Match Marathon go to find a "Miracle Match" for these patients by tissue typing volunteer donors for the "Be The Match Registry" wmv image operated in Central Texas through the Scott & White Marrow Donor Program.

About Our Bridge

The city of Waco has many beautiful locations that our runners will see, but none so grand as our famous suspension bridge. Built in 1870, the bridge serves as the finish line for each of our race events. Many of our runners have commented on the thrill of crossing the Brazos on the suspension bridge to the finish line. The bridge is symbolic of this event. Just as a bridge makes it possible to connect two distant shores, the Miracle Match Marathon helps connect patients needing marrow transplants to matched donors.
