Scott & White Blood Center
Tim Kidder’s wife, Mary, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. The care she received at Scott & White not only restored her health — it inspired Tim to repay and promote that care by donating blood regularly as a Hometown Hero.
“When Mary was diagnosed, I felt so helpless. Donating blood let me feel that I was making a real contribution to my wife and my community. Now, the more I give, the more I want to give.”
The donor center is located in Room 115 across the McLane Dining Room.

The Scott & White Blood Center is registered by the FDA and accredited by AABB, CAP and the Joint Commission. Our laboratories meet the requirements of the CLIA. Blood collected at our facility is screened for all required infectious disease markers by nucleic acid amplification testing methodology.
