Orthopedic Services

Using the latest techniques and technologies, Round Rock’s orthopedic surgeons provide a full range of orthopedic services relating to disorders and injuries of the bone, spine, joints and muscles.

In addition to the traditional full or partial hip replacement procedures, Round Rock is the first hospital in Central Texas to provide the minimally invasive anterior approach to hip replacement. This approach allows the surgeon to reach the hip joint from the front of the hip, so the hip can be replaced without detachment of muscle from the pelvis or femur during surgery. As a result, patients experience less pain, scarring and down time.

Diagnostic Imaging and Testing

Round Rock is home to some of the most technologically advanced equipment in patient care including:

Children’s Services

Round Rock physicians specialize in providing quality medical care and preventive services for children with eleven children’s subspecialty services that meet the needs of children from newborns to teenagers. These services include a special emphasis on:

• Cardiopulmonary disorders
• Infectious diseases

Therapy Services

Using the latest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, licensed Round Rock therapists work one on one with patients in personalized therapeutic programs. Inpatient and outpatient therapy services are both available.

• Sports Medicine program helps numerous schools and programs in the area enhance their services by putting athletes on the “fast track” to diagnosis, treatment, and return to play

Emergency Services

Round Rock’s 24-hour Emergency Services is a full service emergency room providing minor and major emergency care. Triage assessment is provided by a registered nurse and every patient is evaluated by Round Rock’s emergency department physicians to determine treatment and ascertain whether hospital services at Round Rock are required.

If a patient requires a higher level of care than Round Rock can provide, the patient will be assessed, stabilized and transferred to a qualified facility such as Scott & White’s Level 1 designated Trauma Center at the main hospital in Temple.
