Healing Garden Campaign
Scott & White Healthcare - Round Rock

The Healing Garden at the Round Rock Hospital will be a serene, therapeutic garden where patients, families, friends and staff can go to enjoy a sense of tranquility, release and relief. The fragrance of fresh air, the warmth of the sun and the calm sound of running water will fill the Healing Garden, providing an environment to help patients get back to health and make transitions.
Recent case studies* indicate that people exposed to natural, garden-like settings experience reduced stress, improved physical and emotional well being, better pain control and improved immune functioning. After spending time in a healing garden, many individuals left a medical appointment or returned to work in the hospital feeling refreshed, content and less stressed.
Fully funded through philanthropic donations, the Healing Garden Campaign seeks to raise $600,000 to build the garden at the Round Rock Hospital.
