The Division of Vascular Surgery at Scott & White provides diagnosis, treatment and surgical procedures for patients with vascular conditions. Comprehensive clinical examinations, supplemented by non-invasive vascular testing procedures, where appropriate, are utilized for evaluation of various vascular diseases.  Patients who are accepted by the division range in age from adolescent to geriatric.

Other co-morbid problems such as underlying cardiac, pulmonary or renal disease are evaluated as necessary to assess the operative risk for each individual patient. Programs for conservative management of all of the various forms of vascular disease are available and instituted where appropriate. All standard state-of-the-art vascular reconstructive surgical procedures are available to patients, depending upon individual needs. Outcome studies to evaluate the effectiveness of these procedures are ongoing, and patients are seen for periodic post-operative evaluation on a semi-annual or annual basis to monitor the long-term outcome of both medical and surgical management of their disease process.

Patients who receive vascular surgical care at Scott & White are afforded state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities which are equal to or exceed most programs available throughout the United States.

The Division of Vascular Surgery schedules patients through the Scott & White central appointments system. The division does not accept walk-in or self-referred patients. Walk-in or self-referred patients are referred to their personal care physician for initial evaluation.
