Services
The GAO is responsible for centrally organized administrative functions related to internal and external grant applications. The GAO guides and assists the research community in the identification of funding resources, and helps prepare and process grant applications for submission. Technical and educational supports is provided to individual investigators or departments/divisions. The GAO also provides administrative support to the Institutional Research Committee, which reviews and approves all Scott & White research grant applications.
Pre-Award
- Notification of funding opportunities
- Funding searches based on research interests
- Provides educational training on various topics
- Identify and communicate high-priority national and state research and training needs
- Facilitate working relationships and support for research among various constituents who are involved in the research mission
- Foster interdisciplinary and collaborative research
- Assistance with forms and applications
- Routing for authorizing signatures
- Provides technical assistance to ensure proper and timely submission to IRC (for intramural funding)
- Copying, binding and mailing
Post-Award
- Notifies researcher of award
- Research Administrator assigned to each study
- Assists in preparation of proposal for IRB and IACUC submission
- Provides technical assistance in submission of timely and complete reporting requirements
- Maintains historical research database
