Medical Student Information

Our department offers six different rotations to medical students. They are Diagnostic Radiology, Cross Sectional, Radiation Oncology, Current Concepts in Nuclear Radiology, Radiology Research and Student Initiated. The Cross Sectional Rotation (which is a four-week rotation) is designed for students interested in going into the field of radiology.

In addition, the Department of Radiology offers a required course during the third year of medical school at Texas A&M. The course provides the student with exposure to nearly all aspects of Radiology. The course meets on Saturday mornings in the summer during the third year of medical school. A complete syllabus and case oriented CD-ROM is provided to each student on the fundamentals of Radiology. The course has been taught since the inception of the medical school and has consistently received rave reviews.

If you are interested in arranging a rotation as a visiting student, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at 254-724-0245. Students rotating through Radiology attend all resident noon conferences with lunch provided during these conferences.
