Holiday Break
The pediatrics residents work on a "holiday schedule" during the Christmas Season. Either Christmas or New Year's Holidays will be given as time off while the other half of the residency cover the various services (four-six days off "free").
Retreats
Twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, the residents go on a retreat, in which an "excursion" is planned away from the hospital. All housestaff are excused from duties on this day.
