Research

Research in the Division of Hematology and Oncology focuses on basic and clinical aspects of human neoplasia. The developmental therapeutics program focuses on participation in Phase I, II and III trials through industry support, CCOP-affiliation with several national oncology cooperative groups such as SWOG, NSABP, GOG, RTOG, and ECOG as well as the division's own research protocols.

The faculty are the most important resource in regard to research in the program. All are committed to research and education. Many have a number of active research protocols in basic and/or clinical areas. Fellows are encouraged to participate and even develop their own research activities.

The Research and Education Division houses the Department of Biostatistics with Ph.D. biostaticians and staff to assist with research design and data analysis. The research section offers assistance in protocol development and coordination
