Medical Students
Texas A&M medical students have formed an Ob/Gyn Interest Group for students considering a career in obstetrics and gynecology. The Ob/Gyn Interest Group meets approximately six times per year, usually at a staff physician’s home.
One of the primary objectives of the interest group is to prepare third-year students for their upcoming residency interviews. Our own applicant interviewers, residents and fourth-year students provide valuable information and advice about the interview process. Other meetings may focus on new patient care developments.
Our medical school classes have repeatedly demonstrated a higher than national percentage of students who enter Ob/Gyn residencies.
If you are interested in arranging a rotation as a visiting student, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at 254-724-0245. Students rotating through Ob/Gyn attend all resident conferences (four hours each week) with lunch provided during noon conferences.
