Medical Student Information
Scott & White is the training location for the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine third and fourth-year students. The students rotate through the Family Medicine Clerkship during their third year. This is a six-week rotation in which five weeks are spent in one of the Scott & White Family Medicine regional clinics and one week is spent on the Family Medicine Hospital Service.
We also have electives available to medical students. We love to have students come and rotate through one of our family medicine clinics or our Family Medicine Hospital Service, or do a split rotation between the two. Rotations are scheduled through Tamara Clothier in the Office of Students Affairs. Tamara can be reached by e-mail at Clothier@medicine.tamu.edu or by phone at 254-724-0242. More information can be obtained from Laura Gibson, Coordinator for Family Medicine, at lgibson@swmail.sw.org or by phone at 254-771-7707. Should you have any difficulty scheduling your rotation, please contact us at lteer@swmail.sw.org or by phone at 254-771-8401.
