Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease

The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine - Scott & White Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program consists of four fellows at each of the three years of subspecialty training for a total of 12 positions.

Applicants to the program must have completed Internal Medicine residency training and be eligible for examination by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, they should have a state license or national board certificate, or for foreign medical graduates, a current ECFMG certificate.

There are 20 staff cardiologists involved in the program. This faculty-to-fellow ratio provides extensive one-to-one teaching relationships. The program emphasizes clinical experience in preparation for examination by the American Board of Cardiology.
