Nursing Academic Education
RN to MSN

TAMU CC Logo

The curriculum for the RN to MSN Program has been designed specially for the registered nurse with either a diploma in nursing or an associate degree in nursing. The program offers the opportunity to achieve graduate study at an accelerated pace. The program is designed for those students who are motivated to pursue this goal. Through a combination of accelerated courses and dual-purpose courses, the student moves rapidly through the baccalaureate level competencies and into the graduate curriculum.

When the accelerated courses and transition course work are completed, the student may choose from the same array of major areas of graduate study as the traditional post-BSN. student. Majors currently available include Leadership in Nursing Systems, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health (Medical-Surgical Nursing) and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Mary Pat Lambden will be the academic advisor to help plan the progression through the program and ensure that the education experience and progress will be optimal. Please contact Dr. Lambden at 254-724-1946 or e-mail mlambden@swmail.sw.org with any questions.

The required application packet for this program may be obtained from Jonelyn Crawford at 254-724-2524 or e-mail jcrawford@swmail.sw.org.

You may also visit the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi College of Nursing and Health Sciences website for relevant dates and additional information.

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you every success in your future endeavors as you pursue your graduate education in nursing.
