Complementary & Alternative Medicine

The purpose of the Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) Interest Group is to promote personalized comprehensive, high-quality health care at Scott & White through the development of a coordinated organizational approach to complementary and alternative medicine.

The Purpose of this Website is to provide a credible and balanced source of information on CAM therapies and to inform healthcare staff and the public of CAM activities at Scott & White.

The Complementary & Alternative Medicine Interest Group evaluates the utility of various alternative therapies, determine the demands of the marketplace, and recommend an institutional scope of offerings and mechanism of integrated delivery. In addition, the group suggests strategies to educate current and future healthcare providers regarding complementary and alternative medicine and to encourage research efforts to better understand the validity and application of these methodologies.
