Scott & White continuously undertakes clinical trials sponsored by various organizations. These clinical trials are governed by specific, nationally supported scientific and ethical regulations. These regulations are clearly expressed so that the general population may understand what is involved when participating in a clinical trial.

Clinical trials through Research and Education are found in various medical areas that are easily broken down into specific categories.

All categories are updated regularly to include currently enrolling studies. Any changes observed are reflected in the inclusion or omission of specific categories with their respective studies.

Title: A study comparing the use of HEALOS® to Autograft in a Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) approach.
Eligible subjects: Are between 18 and 70 years of age at the time of surgery and are scheduled for lumbar (lower back) fusion surgery. Subjects have persistant back and/or leg pain for six months without relief from non-surgical therapy.

Eligible subjects: Must be between 18 and 65 years of age at the time of scheduled cervical (neck) surgery, with neck, shoulder and/or arm pain for six weeks with no relief from conservative (non-surgical) treatment.

Eligible subjects: Men and women from 21 to 85 years of age with a documented diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson Disease. Subjects must be seen by a Scott & White neurologist at the Plummer Movement Disorders Center at S&W for their Parkinson Disease, be able to walk and be in middle stage of the disease process.
