Storyboards
The Children's Hospital at Scott & White has initiated a unique educational opportunity – the Health Education Storyboard Program. This program involves the Community Outreach Program working with schools to give children the opportunity to learn about the different components of a healthy lifestyle. In addition, this educational opportunity is available to medical students at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine as a part of their medical history elective.
The storyboards are large posters that have four panels which can be displayed "museum style." They provide a creative blend of art and information that is both appealing to the eye and educational.
The purpose of the Health Education Storyboard Program is to promote health and wellness knowledge, targeting children and their parents. It is the hope of The Children's Hospital at Scott & White that the Health Education Storyboard Program will be a step in the right direction of successfully achieving our goal of healthy children and families in our community.
