Research Finance Department

Both pre and post-award services of general business management for all funding sources are provided for primary investigators and associated support staff. Staffing includes senior accountants, charge audit, and finance director, gathered into one center, enabling the investigators a single point of contact regarding the business related portion of their research projects.

Specifically:

• Budget development
• Funding notice processing
• Contract management
• Project accounting
• Operational reporting
• Patient charge tracking
• Audit planning and support
• Government regulations and reporting (fiscal compliance monitoring)
• Research committee liaison and support

The Research Finance Department functions under the Research & Education Division reporting to the Associate Dean Texas A&M University System College of Medicine and Administrative Director, the Assistant Administrator for the Research & Education Division, the Director of Research and with relation to the Clinic and Hospital Fiscal services.
