Allergy and Clinical Immunology

allergy testingThe Division of Allergy and Immunology provides a variety of services for allergic children and adults. All of the senior staff are board certified in a primary specialty – either Pediatrics or Internal Medicine – and all are certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. All members are dedicated to providing excellent medical care for allergy patients.

The first Allergy Clinic at Scott & White was started in the 1940s by Dr. A. Ford Wolf who was one of the pioneer allergists in the Southwestern United States.

In 1966, Dr. George Brasher established the Pediatric Allergy section of the Department of Pediatrics and the two sections operated separately until 1972. In 1972, the sections were combined as the Division of Allergy and Immunology of the Department of Medicine.

The division later expanded with the addition of Dr. John Starr, Dr. John Dvoracek and Dr. Sandra McMahan. Also, Dr. David Weldon is at the Scott & White Clinic in College Station.
