Urology Residency Program

We offer a five-year residency with one year in General Surgery and four years in clinical urology. The Urology rotations are scheduled at Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) at Scott & White, the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System and Children's Medical Center of Dallas, TX.
Call is taken from home on every third night with one day in seven free of all clinical duties.
Every chief resident completes the program with more than 1,200 cases as surgeon. The research experience is either clinical or basic science. Ample guidance is provided for the research projects' design, implementation, presentation and publication. Approximately 30 percent of our graduates have pursued fellowship training. Virtually 100 percent of residents in the last 10 years have passed the Qualifying Examination of the American Board of Urology.
Applications will be accepted through ERAS from September 1 through October 15.
