The goal of residency training in dermatology at Scott & White will be to provide the highest quality dermatology training in a friendly, academic and patient-centered environment that will prepare graduates to deliver superior specialized care to patients with diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Graduating residents should have the opportunity for differing career paths, including private practice, academics, or subspecialty training. Dermatologic surgery will be emphasized during the course of study.
Scott & White has recently expanded the dermatology division with the addition of a new 15,000-square-foot free-standing clinic located about 1.5 miles from the main campus. The new facility features 12 exam rooms, five surgical suites, a Mohs surgery facility, a conference room, a library, and office space for six residents and six faculty.
Currently there are four faculty members in the division of dermatology. All are board certified in dermatology or dermatopathology.
With abundant interesting clinical cases, a new state of the art facility, well trained faculty and located close to Austin, Texas, the residency training in dermatology at Scott & White should prove to be an outstanding experience.
