HEART – (Help End Abusive Relationship Tendencies) — This is an on-going, weekly, open, 12-step group for female victims of domestic violence. All services are free and confidential. Child Survivors of Domestic Violence — An on-going, weekly, open group for children ages 6–13 who have witnessed violence in their homes or between their parents. Parents of Sexually Abused Children — This is an eight week, closed support group for parents of children and teenagers that have been sexually abused or molested. Adult Survivors of Adulthood Sexual Assault —This is a 10 week, closed support group for women who have experienced sexual abuse as an adult. Referrals are available for male survivors as well. Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Assault —This is a 10 week, closed support group for women who experienced sexual abuse as children. Referrals are available for male survivors as well. Families in Crisis, Inc. — Offers the following services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Bell, Coryell and Hamilton counties, including Fort Hood:
- 24-hour toll-free hotline 888-799-SAFE available every day, 365 days a year.
- 56-bed emergency safe shelter available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
- Crisis intervention counseling (including counseling for victims seeking shelter)
- Legal advocacy
- Hospital accompaniment
- Support groups--call for next available session.
