Children come in all shapes and sizes and when a serious illness or injury strikes the youngest of our patients, the miracles needed to help them can also come in many forms.

Often miracles come in the form of highly trained doctors and nurses utilizing the latest innovations, equipment and research to cure a child. But just as often a miracle comes in the form of a simple, caring hand to help a patient smile, or to comfort her before a procedure.

For more than 20 years, Children's Miracle Network at Scott & White has accepted the challenge of helping make miracles happen for the children of Central Texas.

About the Children's Miracle Network

Children's Miracle Network is the alliance of premier children's hospitals. Every year, Children's Miracle Network hospitals treat 17 million children for every disease and injury imaginable. Children's Miracle Network hospitals impact the lives of more children than any other children's organization in the world. Children's hospitals provide state-of-the-art care, life-saving research and preventative education for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Local contributions helping kids

Scott & White became affiliated with the Children’s Miracle Network in 1986. Since that time, more than $11 million has been contributed to help support the Children’s Hospital at Scott & White.

In 2006, over $500,000 was raised through donations from corporate sponsors, through special events and from individual gifts from caring citizens from Central Texas and beyond.

Donations are used to purchase needed medical equipment, provide medications and testing for those who are unable to pay, and to fund vital support services improving the health of thousands of children living in Central Texas and the Brazos Valley.

CMN holds fast to the philosophy that 100% of the money raised locally stays local to help children here in the Central Texas community.
