Electrophysiologist Joins Heart and Vascular Institute
Huang's third book widely used as ablation reference

A recognized expert in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders who specializes in EP, arrhythmia mapping and catheter ablation recently joined the Scott & White senior staff.
Dr. Stephen Huang joined this fall as the Director of Electrophysiology and Pacing in the Heart and Vascular Institute.
After receiving his medical degree from National Taiwan University College of Medicine in Taipei, Taiwan, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He then finished fellowships in cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at Rush-Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. Dr. Huang comes to Scott & White from the China Medical University Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan where he was the Dean of the College of Medicine. He is currently Professor of Internal Medicine at Texas A&M System Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Dr. Huang is also a noted author of several textbooks used by electrophysiologists both in practice and those in training who perform ablations. His current textbook, Catheter Ablation of Cardiac Arrhythmias, was co-authored by Dr. Mark Wood and is both a reference and a comprehensive guide to ablation.
In addition to these textbooks, Dr. Huang has authored and co-authored numerous publications on heart rhythm disorders.
