The Scott & White Heart and Vascular Institute is offering a less invasive procedure for heart valve surgery that means less pain and a quicker recovery period for most patients.

- Ablating Tool Used With MAZE Procedure
Scott & White was the first to use a new device to treat atrial fibrillation (AF). GeminiTM uses radio frequency (RF) ablation to create a scar line to contain irregular heart beats. Drs. Erik Beyer and Charles Reiter helped design the FDA-approved device.
