The Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital (CCH) is an acute care hospital where the average length of stay is 25 days. Patients cared for are critically ill with complex conditions. Many of these patients depend on technology such as ventilators, special monitors or dialysis.
Interdisciplinary Care
Scott & White's tradition of comprehensive, multispecialty care extends to the Continuing Care Hospital. The team includes physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and specialists in physical, occupational and speech therapy.
The healthcare team takes a multidisciplinary, team oriented perspective on patient care. Qualities of the healthcare team at the Continuing Care Hospital include a positive approach to care, utilizing their skills and experience to individualize care for our long-term patients.

Scott & White's Continuing Care Hospital offers acute care, not chronic care. The CCH is neither a nursing home nor a skilled nursing facility.
