The Dermatology Division at Scott & White is dedicated to delivering the most advanced and comprehensive care for skin disorders in Central Texas.

The qualified staff of board certified dermatologists are experienced in the treatment of:

• Acne
• Acne rosacea
• Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
• Actinic keratoses ( pre-cancers of the skin)
• Auto-immune disorders of skin such as lupus, dermatomyositis and scleroderma
• Psoriasis
• Skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma
• Skin infections: bacterial, viral and fungal
• Warts

We continue to offer phototherapy utilizing UVB light or psoralens plus UVA (PUVA) to patients with psoriasis.

A specialized type of skin cancer surgery known as Mohs surgery is now available for the removal of difficult skin cancers. With Mohs surgery the tumor is meticulously removed and examined microscopically to ensure complete removal.

The Dermatology Division is located at the Northside Clinic on West Adams Street. The facility encompasses a 15,000 square foot clinic with “state of the art” equipment.

Residency training in dermatology began in July 2004 with the initiation of two dermatology residents. By 2006, additional residents have been added to the program to create a six-resident program.
