Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Psychology
Scott & White, a major multispecialty medical center with over 500 doctors, a 350-bed hospital, and 18 regional clinics, is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology and Child/Adolescent Psychology. The Scott & White system is the major teaching component of the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Scott & White Clinic, College Station, is the largest regional clinic in the Scott & White system, with over 78 doctors. College Station is the home of the Texas A&M University System. The fellowship is a one-year training position with a starting date of September 1.
The fellowship will focus primarily upon adult work. The fellow will be exposed to a wide array of disorders and gain experience with different treatment modalities including individual, couples, group, and hypnotherapy. The fellow will have an opportunity to work closely with physicians and other health care providers. Exposure to emergency assessment, and psychopharmacology is provided by Psychiatry. The emphasis is upon the role of the psychologist in an outpatient medical setting.
Fellows will participate in individual supervision with Scott and White and Texas A&M psychologists, seminars, and case discussions. In addition, approximately 25% of the fellow's time can be allocated for research. The stipend is $35,343 plus benefits. Applicants must have completed their degree (including internship) prior to starting the fellowship. Preference will be given to applicants from APA-accredited programs.

The fellow will have an opportunity to work closely with physicians and other health care providers. Exposure to emergency assessment, and psychopharmacology is provided by Psychiatry. The emphasis is upon the role of the psychologist in an outpatient medical setting, but it also involves collaboration with local schools and community agencies.
