Application and Selection Process
All applicants must have a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree or be in their last year of podiatric medical school anticipating successful graduation. Fourth year podiatric medical students must apply through the CASPR matching program.
Interviews: The program does not participate in the CRIP (central residency interview process); thus, personal visits to the program are encouraged (please contact the program coordinator to arrange).
Externships: For fourth year podiatric medical students, there is an Externship Program in place. These are one-month rotations with us and are arranged through the program coordinator. There are limited spaces per month for this opportunity and you must submit an application (see below). We do not have externship agreements with all the schools of podiatric medicine. Please check with your graduate placement representative at your school regarding externship agreements.
For post graduate applicants, please contact the program directly via the program coordinator (see below)
Texas: In the state of Texas, you must have passed the national boards Part I and II to be able to obtain a temporary or permanent state podiatric medical license, which is a requirement for residency training in Texas.
