Interview Process
Our interview process begins on Wednesday night with a resident dinner and Thursday morning formal interviews with faculty takes place starting at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m. We will have one Saturday interview starting at 9 a.m. During the interview applicants can ask questions or just get to know members of our program. Once the interviews are completed we will have a luncheon with the senior staff and residents. It is important to us that interviewees meet the people they will potentially work with during residency. After the luncheon, there is a tour of Scott & White Hospital. The day is completed after the tour of the hospital.
For more travel information, please see the local lifestyle page.
International Applicants
Obtaining a residency slot in the U.S. GME system is a multi-step process that begins with certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). ECFMG Certification assures U.S. GME programs that physicians trained outside the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico are qualified and eligible to enter residency training. Additional information on the ECFMG Certification can be obtained from the American Medical Association website.
