
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) is intended for healthcare providers who respond to cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies. This course focuses on anyone providing health care to patients in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
This course contains:
- CPR for victims of all ages
- AED use (Automated External Defibrillator)
- BVM use (Bag-Valve-Mask)
- FBAO relief (Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction)
Scott & White is a Training Center for the American Heart Association. To receive a course completion card in BLS for HCP, students must pass skills tests and a written test. Renewal is required every two years.
