Scott & White Blood Center
An accident sent 5-year-old Yasin to Scott & White Hospital with internal bleeding. He required several hours of surgery and lost a lot of blood. Many factors played a role in his survival — the skillful hands of his surgeons, visits from his friends at Reeces Creek Elementary, his family’s prayers and the blood he received from a Hometown Hero.

The donor center is located in Room 115 across the McLane Dining Room.

The Scott & White Blood Center is registered by the FDA and accredited by AABB, CAP and the Joint Commission. Our laboratories meet the requirements of the CLIA. Blood collected at our facility is screened for all required infectious disease markers by nucleic acid amplification testing methodology.
